Ghana (pt.1)

Akwaaba.

Your girl has officially been in Ghana for about two weeks. My time so far has been occupied with visiting family, friends, and exploring the surrounding areas. Dressing up and going out to eat is one of my favorite hobbies. Looking good and eating good equates to happiness.

My first couple days in town, I went to a chop bar called Mangos for Okra soup and Banku while my friends had Fufu and Soup. Before arriving, I anticipated the food I would soon devour and I was not disappointed when the time came.

We Move: Packing Edition

The end of semester calls for an enjoyable break. After dedicating several hours a day to school and work during the school semester, it is only right that I now take some to myself.

Gobble Gobble

The title of this blog has been my mood since I landed back home. Thanksgiving break was long overdue as the school semester has been getting busier and harder as the semester progressed.

The First and Last Tour by Summer Walker came to San Diego where I was able to get a ticket to go. I knew I had to be in attendance for this concert since Summer Walker plans for this to be her first and last tour, literally.

The opener for the night was an artist named Melii. Melii is someone I would describe as a breath of fresh air. I truly believe her spirit is shown throughout her music. I would believe that as an artist this energy is what is supposed to be exchanged from artist to listener and stand as the blueprint for it all.

Perfume Mania

Perfume adds an essence to one’s presence. It is an accessory that speaks before words are spoken. Perfume ultimately boosts the overall mood and enhances one’s overall aura.

At a young age, my mom taught me the importance of investing in perfume. This life lesson was instilled in my head the day I saw a Nicki Minaj perfume infomercial.

The informercial showcased her various perfumes. I opted for her limited edition scent as it was limited edition. When it came time to purchase the perfume, it totaled more than I was expecting. I remember asking my mom if it was crazy for me to buy perfume at that price. She said “no.” She went on to educate me that it is simply about the quality of the perfume and the longevity of the perfume once it is in contact with the skin. That specific purchase changed my outlook on my perfume collections going forward.

My favorite perfumes at the moment are:
