Puerto Vallarta | Spring Break

This week my college roommate and I are celebrating our spring break in Puerto Vallarta. Ironically, our dates for our spring break aligned with the dates of spring break in Puerto Vallarta. This trip was planned in advance as COVID-19 put things to an abrupt stop back in March 2020. Fast forward one year later, the trip is able to come to fruition by adhering to all of the health and safety guidelines.

The duration of this trip last for 6 days. On our first day, we ran into a few hiccups as we were caught by the timeshare workers. Day 2 started off the fun as we went for breakfast in the hotel and spontaneously booked all of our excursions for the whole trip. The excursion for the day was ATV riding through the mountains. ATV riding has been on my bucket list for so long that finally being able to ride them was a full circle moment. As fun as it was, I was terrified at the same time.

On day 3, we planned to ride in a racer car that took us up to a ranch. At this ranch, we ziplined and viewed a pool that sat at the edge of the mountain and overlooked the smaller mountains. Ziplining is something that I swore I would never partake in as the idea of a rope holding me in the middle of the sky did not seem secure enough. However, it ended up being so thrilling. While I was zip lining across the lines, I would look down and see blue rivers. I could not get over the fact that I was flying in the middle of the sky. When that concluded, we headed to a restaurant that served authentic Mexican food alongside a natural pool that oversaw a river. This day ended up being my favorite because the ambience it gave was pure vibes. Day 4 included riding horses along the riverside and taking a mini hike to a waterfall. It is quite impressive as to what nature can create. Our final day in Puerto Vallarta was a rest and recovery day. We sat by the pool with out laptops, ate good food and enjoyed our last couple of moments in Mexico.
