Stick It.

I have decided to see what the hype was about concerning press-on nails. Due to our current climate, many people have realized how unsanitary traditional salons have been running their businesses. People came to the conclusion that nails salons are not a place to be in this moment as nail services include physical touch.

With that, the rebirth of press-on nails has come to light. The brand I chose to try out is called Kiss Nails which I purchased at Ulta Beauty, This buy was a spur of the moment decision as I was away and my nails were due to be done. In my previous blog, “Finding a Beauty Home,” I mentioned the struggles in finding a good nail salon but experimenting is something I could not afford to do with the virus around.

As of today, I have had my current set on for about a week and a half. I would conclude that I am pleasantly surprised as they were able to stay on for the most part. I has two nails pop off while I was moving boxes and reorganizing so i was not surprised when I saw that that was a result of what I was doing.

While we are still in a pandemic, I will continue to use press-on nails or opt for a natural nail look. However, I believe that when nails salons open and it is safe, I will resume in-salon nail services as the overall experience is relaxing. In the same manner, I presume that salons will have updated cleaning procedures to ensure a healthy nail service experience.
