Quarantine Birthday

Imagine waiting years to finally turn 21. Longing for the endless drinks and enjoyment that comes with turning 21. As well as, thinking of the perfect club/bar outfit and a place to celebrate at. If you happen to turn 21 in the year 2020, I can assure you that your 21st birthday is not what you originally had in mind. However, that was not a problem for me.

The “hype” around turning 21 was something I never cared for. Therefore, celebrating my birthday in quarantine did not bother me one bit. A typical birthday for me includes getting dressed up and going out to eat. This year, I celebrated with a birthday brunch in the comfort of my home with an elegant set up.

My day consisted of eating, dancing, taking pictures and enjoying all of my birthday messages. Although celebrating my birthday indoors was not my original plan, I still had one of the best birthdays thus far. My family and friends made my feel so loved and I have never laughed at my self so much due to the videos my friends posted of me.
